Video Editor
Job Description:
Long-form & Short Form Video Editor at Market Leaders
Who We Are
Market Leaders is on a mission to become a world-renowned coaching and marketing education brand by 2031. With Asian roots and global reach, we bring a "Bruce Lee approach" to business education—combining Eastern wisdom with world-class execution.
Our culture? Peaceful & Profitable. We believe in high performance without toxic hustle, building a remote team that wins together and celebrates together.
We're a tight-knit team of 9 scaling globally, and we need a strategic long-form video editor who understands that great content isn't just polished—it drives transformation.
The Opportunity
You'll be our Long-form Video Storyteller—the person who transforms raw footage into engaging educational experiences that teach, inspire, and spread our mission across YouTube, course platforms, and webinars.
This isn't a "churn and burn" editing gig. You'll produce 4-6 high-quality long-form videos per month (10-60+ minutes each) while collaborating directly with our Co-founders (Bryan Ang, CMO + Melvin Soh, Head of Creatives) and Content Manager to shape how we educate globally.
This role is for someone who:
Sees editing as storytelling architecture, not just technical execution
Obsesses over audio quality (because bad audio kills great content)
Can balance high volume (4-6 videos/month) with world-class quality
Wants to build something meaningful, not just collect a paycheck
What You'll Do
Video Production & Editing (Your Craft)
Edit 4-6 long-form videos monthly (10-60 min each) across YouTube, Amplifyyy (course platform), webinars, and podcast video
Process ~3 hours of raw footage monthly into polished, engaging educational content
Execute seamless cuts, transitions, b-roll, and motion graphics that enhance (not distract from) teaching
Ensure every frame reflects Market Leaders' brand—consistent, professional, globally excellent
Storytelling & Retention (Your Edge)
Structure long-form content for maximum retention (chapter breaks, pacing, hooks, payoffs)
Adapt Hormozi-style pacing (high-energy, retention-focused) to Market Leaders' voice
Create engaging openings that hook viewers in the first 30 seconds
Maintain narrative flow over 10-60 minutes (keep viewers watching, not clicking away)
Content Optimization (Your Systems)
Repurpose long-form content into clip libraries with timestamps for short-form team
Optimize videos for platform-specific best practices (YouTube retention, course clarity, webinar engagement)
Add captions, subtitles, and accessibility features (inclusive content wins)
Manage content library (organized raw footage, project files, exports—searchable and efficient)
Audio Excellence (Your Non-Negotiable)
Mix clean dialogue, balance music layers, and eliminate distracting noise
Ensure audio quality matches visual polish (no glitches, no volume jumps, professional sound design)
Apply EQ, compression, and sound design to keep listeners engaged
Creative Collaboration (Your Team Play)
Work closely with Content Manager on briefs, timelines, and feedback loops
Align with Melvin (Head of Creatives) on brand aesthetics and creative direction
Implement Bryan's strategic vision while contributing your editorial insights
Balance input from multiple stakeholders without ego or drama
Continuous Improvement (Your Growth)
Create video templates and presets (intros/outros, lower thirds, color grades) for efficiency
Document processes and workflows for scalability
Update and re-edit old content for repurposing
Stay current with long-form content trends and retention strategies
What You Bring
Must-Haves (Non-Negotiable)
Experience & Portfolio

Portfolio with links to your work (show us videos you've edited, ideally in education/coaching/business space)
Proven ability to produce 4-6 videos/month without sacrificing quality (show us you've handled consistent volume)
Experience with educational/coaching content (business education, thought leaders, course creation—not just lifestyle or entertainment)
Technical Skills
Mastery of video editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut Pro—quality matters more than the tool)
Audio mixing fundamentals (clean dialogue, music layering, noise reduction, EQ basics—audio quality is non-negotiable)
Color grading (consistent, professional look across all videos)
Pacing for retention (you know how to keep viewers engaged for 10-60+ minutes—chapter breaks, cuts, b-roll timing)
Basic motion graphics (text overlays, lower thirds, simple animations using built-in editing tools)
Strategic Mindset
Deep understanding of long-form storytelling (narrative arc, hooks, retention tactics, payoff structure)
Experience structuring educational content (modules, lessons, clear teaching flow—not just entertainment)
Asset management discipline (organized project files, version control, searchable libraries)
Familiarity with YouTube/webinar/course formats (platform-specific best practices)
Work Ethic & Execution
Deadline-driven (4-6 videos/month = consistent output, no missed deliveries)
Detail-obsessed (you catch the audio glitch at minute 47, the color shift at 22:30, the awkward cut at 8:15)
Self-directed but collaborative (works independently but communicates proactively with team)
Organized (file naming, backup systems, version control are second nature)
Cultural Alignment
Handles feedback without ego (multiple revision rounds = growth, not personal attacks)
Team-first mentality (collaboration over "artistic vision"—business results matter)
Proactive communicator (flags issues early, updates team without being asked—especially critical in async remote work)
Peaceful & Profitable mindset (focused 6-8 hour days, speaks up on unrealistic timelines, no burnout glorification)
Nice-to-Haves (Bonus Points)
Audio podcast editing experience (audio-only mixing, noise reduction, Audition/Logic Pro skills)
Thumbnail design skills (Canva/Photoshop basics—collaborate with graphic designer)
Moderate After Effects skills (2D animations, kinetic typography—takes motion graphics to the next level)
Template creation (Premiere Pro presets, project templates, efficiency systems)
Event/retreat videography editing (highlight reels, keynote recordings, multi-cam editing)
Course platform experience (Amplifyyy, Teachable, Kajabi—understands e-learning video requirements)
Content repurposing workflows (clip libraries, timestamp systems, multi-platform optimization)
Agency or high-volume environment experience (used to fast feedback cycles, tight deadlines)
Direct Access to Leadership
You'll collaborate regularly with our Co-founders (Bryan & Melvin) and Content Manager. Your ideas will be heard, tested, and implemented—not buried in corporate bureaucracy. You're joining a 7-person team where your work directly impacts our global mission.
Growth & Learning
Long-form content is evolving rapidly (AI tools, retention strategies, new formats). You'll be encouraged (and supported) to learn new techniques, test bold ideas, and evolve your craft continuously. Early team members help shape our creative direction.
Quarterly Team Retreats
We gather 3-4 times per year across Asia to connect, celebrate wins, and build culture in person. (Yes, we actually like each other. These aren't boring corporate offsites—they're genuine celebrations.)
Mission-Driven Work
You're not just editing videos—you're helping spread business wisdom that changes lives. Our content educates entrepreneurs globally, blending Asian philosophy with world-class strategy. Every video you craft helps someone build a better business.
Creative Freedom in a Structured Environment
We have high standards (Hormozi-level quality), but we trust our creatives. You'll get clear briefs and strategic direction, then have creative freedom to execute. We want your editorial insights, not robotic button-pushing.
Compensation & Stability
SGD $1000 - 1200/month (full-time, remote)
